I have a new set of shocks and springs to go on my tj
Is there any tips for stopping the shocks turning while I'm undoing the top bolt?

if they are being binned, an assistant with a set of slipjaw pliers hanging onto the shock body

At the top of the threaded part there is normally a 'flat' on each side that can be gripped with a wrench or a spanner.
