Anyone know if the KC windshield light brackets will accept easily other makes of lights .....Hella 500's Im guessing the bolt size for mounting are similar

Just put some 8" Cibies on mine, will post some pics later and measure the slot :)

mmore says the holes 12mm diametre...Hella bolts are 8mm
That would make a plan come together and make my front winch bumper scheme much easier

I'd tent to agree with the ~12mm width... just enjoy wiring them up.... and find the two hidden screws where you have to remove the rubber at the back of the bonnet... :)

I changed a hole wind screen and surround from one 97 Tj to another and had no problems with the Torx bolts!

oops, I missed that bit... I bought a socket set of torx bits from 4wd... use the impact driver the loosen them and they came out dead easy.... Oh, and a nice big hammer..... :twisted:

Good

Fitting the brackets went much better than I expected
Got an auto electrician in to move them after I'd taken the cowl off as you advised :wink:
He was actually from the place that fitted the lights.. He wired them up past the battery for the relay near the N/S front head lamp and then drilled a hole in the front bulkhead (below the rubber strip)  and ran the wiring through there to the lights

Then I put the wiring behind the windscreen hinges to re-fit the cowl and moved the lights to the front of the brackets in order that the aeriel wasn't bent

Just got to align them now :D
