When i first saw your post, i immediately thought the welds had broken
However, reading through and looking at the pictures i think i know the answer - i might be wrong but it's worth a try.
If you remove the footwell/kickpanel trim (one screw if memory serves) and get your head in with the pedals, you should be able to see the bolts that secure the hinges to the A-post, unless the hinges are completely welded - as far as i can see on mine (guess why i was looking!) the hinges bolt onto a reinforced section welded to the A-post. If you can see them, you should be able to alter their position with the help of an assistant to lift/move the door in the right direction.
That said, it might pay to sort out the shims etc first as it looks like the bolts/nuts that hold the door to the hinge have come loose and the shims are lost or lurking somewhere. This means the bolts have moved and have jammed in their holes and are now touching the hinges.
I haven't actually had this problem on mine so it's guesswork i'm afraid but the welds have gone weak on my A-posts, not helped a few months back when a gust of wind during Storm Barney nearly took the door off, damaging the leading edge of the door and trailing edge of the wing. This is why i was looking at mine but in all honesty i didn't look that closely behind the kickpanel so might be wrong on what i've suggested - apologies if so!
Definitely worth looking inside the door at the nuts/bolts that hold the door to the hinge though!
