Can anyone recommend a shock for my CJ6 with 4" lift. Think mine are a tad tired.

You need it sloppy or stiff

Personally I have found that with leaf sprung jeeps the stiff old Spring needs a sloppy shocker or else the whole plot is just too rigid

Ah.....but the mighty 75 does have a lot of 'Caravan' hanging off the back. The old YJ CJ things have 'not a lot' out back.....

Ah.....they are very good.... I had a set of those on a 356 (remember them) and they transformed the handling.....

Get the softest you can, hydraulic not gas. Which means, for once in life, cheap is good!

I have skyjacker hydro on the rear, work fine, pro comp es9000 (gas) on the front, too hard.

They will go rusty, but if you go near mud they all go rusty in a few years anyway.

Only say it because the cheaper, softer shocks tend to be hydraulic, and the expensive sporty ones tend to be gas. You don't want sporty on a CJ it'll ride like shit.

Nothing to do with better or worse just what seems to work.

A lot of the shocks are all made in the same factory in mexico, irrelevant of brand. Most important thing is to get the length right, measure fully extended and compressed then choose.
