So I’m still having some clutch issues. 1996 Jeep Cherokee XJ 2.5TD Manual AX15 Transmission
Back story: Had the Clutch replaced last year and since then there has been little to no biting point after 20 mins of driving and jumps terrible when put into gear.
I recently changed my oil in the Gearbox (I had to fill through the shifter hole as the fill plug is so battered it won’t come off, maybe I weld something on to it?).
I measured what I removed and put in the same amount in but this time used MT90 and Lucas Transmission fix. (this was a Westway MT90 not redline….first mistake using that maybe? However the description seems to fit the bill)

I used the lucas because it helped smooth a notchy Ax15 and stop leaking on my 99 so gave it a shot.
Anyway, the Jeep shifts the best it ever has so smooth and like new…for 20mins and then wont go into first or reverse and all other gears are very hard to get into. Almost as if when it gets warm the the oil becomes too thin???

even with the treacle like substance that is Transmission fix.
I aim to replace the master and slave cylinder this week (bit the bullet and bought the whole kit) however I can easily shift into all gears when the engine is off. Which suggests the hydraulics are good so points more to the Clutch.
Do you think my clutch is on the way out again or perhaps draining it again and putting some different oil in the gearbox will be a better idea?
