SPARK PLUG recommendations

Heading up North for the summer solstice (daylight fishing at midnight-Whoo hoo!) so I`m going to be giving my old bus a service prior to sticking another 600miles on her. OEM sparks plugs or After market like Splitfire? There seems to be good deals on ebay. Any opinions? :?:

Nowt wrong with splitfires if you can get them for a reasonable price.  I just think they're a bit waisted on a truck with stock ignition if you're paying UK prices for um.

Now with a screaming demon coil pack and heavy duty HT leads......................... :twisted:

Looks like the Shitfires are out then. Probably NGK or OEM, cheers guys.I`m going down the bog standard oil route by the way. No slick 50 or Mobil 1 or the likes,I thin k thats a bit much for a basic engine. :)
         If thats not the best idea somebody say as I`m at the `still needing guidance stage` in my killing the ozone with a 4.0ltr career. :smt106

Stick with the cheap stuff and change it regularly.  Barbies gets changed every 3000 miles cos she gets off roaded. :wink:

Not too sure about the 'cheap stuff'.

Don't forget that you can get some really shit cheap stuff. You used to get Motorway oil from Morrisons for about £2.

I do agree that you may not need 'mega' but be very careful!

OK, maybe not the really cheap stuff!

I use Morris Oils 10W30 basic multigrade stuff.  6L of oil and a filter comes to about £30.

 £30.   :finger2:   If it`s good enough for him it`s good enough for me. Shell Helix is £14 for 4 litres here. How much is oil in Leicestershire?

over the years i tried all the engine oils you can get in my jeep now i buy a 30 ltres drum from the motor factors of the comma basic engine oil and change every 3 to 4 thousand miles cost is just under 40quid
