the beast is getting better
« on: June 25, 2006, 08:00:56 AM »

Hello all,

after pestering you lot for info on what I should get or not get, I have had the TJ now fow for a couple of months and are very pleased with me new beastie.

I am now trying to get it ready for froadin' in the uk not poncin about on the rocks

Already i have smashed me steering box to bits so a southdown guard has been purchased to protect me vunerable bits, fits like a glove and as tough as my wifes cooking

CB is now installed, along with cover king seat covers to keep the brown stuff off me cloth

safari snorkel is on order, should be arriving within the next few days, and after Rich T's advice I have smittybilt RC front bumper and rock sliders on order from 4wd in the states and I am hopefully fitting my 8274 to the front over the next week!

Just need some protection for me diffs and underside a bit more and then next year an external roll cage maybe...if the bank manager is agreeable

Hopefully trying to get everything ready for coney green in July!

thougt you lot might be interested, bit like a confessional really, dare not tell the mrs...sorry the bank manager!!!!

I will post some pics when it is all bolted on

Cheers

we don't live near "the Con", more near lots of wet stuff and brown stuff

can't see the point in making my truck a rock climber when I will spend most of my time winching up and through stuff upto me chassis rails :D

Sorry X - we need to explain. Landrovers are what Jeeps would be in the UK if the parts were cheap, they carried a half decent load and they did more than 20 mpg. Ho ho ho...
