is the crankcase sensor a DIY job or a job for a mechanic to replace?
thanx

Think you need to check the fault codes,as this might give you an idea. There are posts previous on how to do this as i cant remember off the top of my head.Or go to google and type in jeep fault codes.Thts`how i found out how to do it originally

Crank sensor is a DIY job.
Its a shit to get at as you cant reach it from the top.
You have to reach up the side of the bell housing on the passenger side.
You will need long skinny arms to get at it.
I dropped the front prop of mine, which gives you a little more room to move.
Make sure you get the right sensor, aparently there are 3 types for the L6 4L engine

ive given it thought and if there is fuel getting to the engine then its doubful that is is the crankshaft censor
weve replaced most of the components that make it spark execpt the coil wich is on its way soon.
so it is possible the coil is the problem?
it turns over fine and sounds pretty healthy

Check for any fault codes first, and then if all okay then do coil

Code 22 above in mmores posting, not saying it will be the cause of present problem, but it may contribute to it not starting.Maybe Dr Mike could answer more fully

Could it have been 11?
Might make sense of the other codes then
