Roof Lights

Can anyone educate me??

What is the difference between driving lights, spot lights and fog lights??  :?

Looking at some procomp 100W rectangular jobs, i want 4 on the front of me new full length roofrack. anyone got any experience of these??

The lights are purely for offroad use only obviously...  :twisted:

Driving lights have a beam pattern which is similar to main beam headlights.

Fog lights have a short, flat fan shaped pattern.

Spots could be either:

Long range lights which have a long narrow beam

or floods which have a wide beam.

I wouldn't put fogs on the roof or floods.  Floods would be OK, but I'd recomend you painted ya bonnet matt black to stop any glare.

I'd have a look at the KC Daylighter sealed beam 150W ones if they are for off road only. :wink:

Chris, offroad use only? My ass!  :lol:

We've just bought a barn out in the cuds (and i do mean in the cuds - it's pretty remote  :o ). I can imagine lots of driving in real heavy snow so want something that's gonna help in that situation...

Cheers jeeper, looks like driving lights might be the best bet...

Right I just bought 4 of the KC 150W sealed jobs. XZ Jepper, are they easy enough to fit??

Order placed with JCR for a front and rear bumper too  :D

Good choice. 8)

KC's come with a nice wiring kit (if you bought them as a kit that is).

They're easy enough to fit, the hardest part is finding a route for the cabling.

Yeah I thought that. I like the idea of having the swtiches in the little roof-cubby that's apparantly for a a remote garage door opener...
