My CJ has an AMC 20 fitted with a MDG conversion. I believe it has Rover 820 calipers with Suzuki front discs along with some custom components, cables, flexi hoses, mounts etc.

It may be worth giving them a ring.

SSBC kit is good, but I am not sure if the kit was wrong it what, but I had to have new brake hoses built for both sides and the new master cylinder and brackets made up to support the pipes as well. the cable bracket had to be cut down to fit too....

Saying all that.... after Sheps Bog, I drove out, parks at the top of the hill, put the handbrake on and she stayed there!!!!!

Well worth it...

The kit came with a largerMaster Cylinder with a larger reservoir This meant the pipes need to be re-made as the new plunger is longer.

Ever thought of converting to a transmission brake? Got an X-Eng kit fitted to my 90 and its brilliant - no adjustment required and holds whatever I do to the car. I've heard that some people have converted these to fit Wranglers? Cost about £175 but worth a look.

james,
yes i will but as i have an atlas the mount will not be the same as your vehicle...unless you have atlas also, the kit is not too expensive but you need to speak to tom woods as they have various mounts available i have another kit here they sent that would not fit my wrangler don't know what it will fit was going to use it as a spare can take photos of that if you like........saves me rolling around under my wrangler.

Simon who owns X Eng is a good mate of mine - he was talking about producing a kit for TJ's last time I spoke to him !

I think the caliper mount would be the only bit of fabrication needed to make this the a very good option. I may try and speak to Tom Woods about an XJ setup as the cross-members are a little different.
