OK. This isn't a particularly complex question but...
Barbie has developed a rattle from underneath. It only happens when you drive over a bump and is more like a metalic 'chink' noise.
I thought it was a loose exhaust clamp, but it ain't!!! It's not the cat rattling but I'm buggered if I can find anything.
Anyone got any ideas, you know... "Oh I had that happen and it was the...."
I'm running out of places to look and it's driving me bloody mad!!!!

My cherry clunks over hard bumps, rather than chink or rattle. It's the bottom bolts on the shackles hitting the frame cus the springs flex so much. Longer shackles are on the never ending shopping list.

It could be the heat shield I guess, I'll have another look.
It ain't loose bolts in the suspension...I know that sound!!
Wish it was, I could have fixed it by now. This is on top of all the normal clunks and bumps that she makes.
It's a Jeep thing....

The tinny kind. I'm used to the driveline kind, this is just that annoying..."i know it's nothing serious I just wish it would f**kin' stop" kind.

Give the cat a thump, could be the core breaking up.

Finally fixed it.
It was nothing serious, didn't think it was. One of the leaf spring clamps I'd fitted to stop the floating leaf from turning had come loose and was rattling around.
Big hammer fixed it.
