Hi Yawl!
What is the best way to keep the water, damp, mud etc out of your electrickery bits?
Filling the alternator with water every now and then can't be good for it.
I normally spray WD40 or similar, but was just wondering if there is a better way.
Ta muchly.

I spray my electrics with Waxoyl, lasts a lot longer than WD40.

What about the alternator?
Does Waxoyl not just gum things up?

Nothing much you can do with the alternator, WD40 will fend off the water a bit but frequent dunking will still knacker it (and the starter). Have a collection of used spare ones just in case.
