I know this is a dumb question but what is the actual name of the gear required to give a correct speedo/milage reading after a diff regear?

Been searching for ages with no luck. Didnt know if its because American's call it something specific I dont know about?

Its for my everyday (Shiny) TJ

I put 3.73 R&P's front and rear in because one of my LSD plates broke up and got chewed, doing a fair amount of damage to the R&P

Am runiing 31's BFG's and have gone from 3.07 to 3.73

if you speak to light house the will calculate it for ya and supply the gear. i just did mandas after the re-gear. gone from a 30 tooth to a 34 and now at thirty on the speedo it is roughtly doin 28 mph wich means your are well safe.

What do the numbers on the actual speedo sensor represent then?

I see I get it now, its representative of the speedo pinion gear teeth, so when changing the gear I have to make sure I turn the speedo censor to reflect the teeth range I am using.
