Airbag warning light

Hi guys have got a  1998 cherokee sport and for some reason the airbag warning light has started to come when it shoudnt,then it goes off then comes back on and so on.Has anyone got any ideas what could be causing this to happen?Other than this the vechicle is running spot on.Cheers

You need to get the control module scanned for faults. The most common failure is the clockspring, about £200 and a dealer only part.

Hi Mike thanks for the reply,what would happen if i ran the jeep without the repair for a while as short of the old pennies at the moment.Cheers.
