Hi all,
Firstly, apologies for wading in with questions & extra apologies for possible silly questions.
Bought the jeep a few weeks ago so still getting to grips with it. We seem to have the usual electrical niggles, heated seat doesn't work & no matter how many times I set the mirrors they always go back next time I get in the car but the biggest issue seems to be fuel economy (or lack thereof).
I've never had an auto before so my driving style could be part of the problem. Since buying the car it has been crippling me with it's drinking habit, trip computer is displaying an average of 15mpg (2.7CRD 2002).
The car also feels very reluctant when cold, especially early mornings. For example, sometimes, due to the inconsiderate parking of others I am forced to exit the carpark forwards over the kerb rather than reversing out of my space. In my old car (L200 manual) this was an easy task but the Jeep just rolls up to the kerb and then simply will not rev even with my foot to the floor.
Any advice would be appreciated on this, even if it's adjustments to the way I drive the car that is needed. Once again, apologies for getting straight down to business.
Mark
