Only if its LPG only ie no petrol facility whatsoever.
If you fill in a form and stand on your head I believe you can get a small (£30 IIRC) refund on a duel fuel.

Yep, maybe a bit cheaper for the most basic single-point kit but still £1300+

not true of non factory converted cars before 2001

The only Jeeps on that exemption list are a few Grand Cherks, and only about 4 years worth of those, and the conversion has to have been done at an approved convertors.
