Need a Lift

Im looking to shoehorn 35s on my JK, i want the minimum lift thats going to allow for that size tyre, i figure that'll be 2.5" lift. Does anyone know if that'll be OK?

Does anyone know of a reputable specialist in the North East that'll fit the lift kit for me?

From what I can see, 2.5" will be enough to clear the tyres, but you might want a little more for off-road articulation, say 3" - 4".

IIRC 35s will fit a JK without doing anything. But I maybe wrong, it wouldn't be the first time..........


Get yer trawling trousers on, and spend a couple of hours over here.

As for a reputable specialist to fit it, Specialist Leisure would probably be your nearest, but he's not cheap :lol:

From looking around im pretty sure ill need at least 2"s of lift but really should be 2.5" i'd like to keep it to a min as i dont like the look when its too high and i'll still need to drive it on the road.

Not too worried about paying a few quid more (he's not mad expensive is he?) Question is, is he worth the extra?

From US magazines I've read 2" lift should allow 35s its one of the positives of JK ownership


Scope Quadratechs web site for options but you'll need therapy after you see the bumpers n stuffs you can already get for JK's 8-)  8-)

most smaller lifts can be easily done with minor tools and know how. take a weekend and a few mates with some beer and your set.
not sure how much lift you need, but 2.5 sounds bout right.

2.5" should be enough unless you want to play hard offroad when really a 4" lift is suggested.
 Downside to a 4" is that it is way dearer an starts to have issues with the LHD v RHD drive brackets etc.

  Have a liik at www.roughcountry.com . I am the UK importer for their stuff so anything you see on that website can easily be thrown on top of the next pallets coming this way ( usually every 4-6 weeks )

OK, i have decided to order the Old Man Emu 2" lift kit as its a proper kit with excellent reviews and should give me about 3" of lift, perfect for 35's  :twisted:
