having read various topics on removing rusty bolts and the like better than wd40 try comma products graphite  release oil code no ro500 about £4-00 atin

wd40 is just a fine lubricant oil that evapourates but it does work as a penetrating oil as well. Use something like plus gas or a specific penetrating fluid which is mildly corrosive to free rusted bolts

Whatever works at the time.
Personally I use Plusgas Formula A Dismantling Lubricant.
It comes in a tin with a spout for treehuggers or an aerosol for those that like our warmer weather. It may be a lot easier askin for a tin o WD40 but
IMHO a lot lot better than WD40 and worth £4/£5
Probably all the same stuff.
