WO HO!!! all the old paint is off
tomorrow is prime and fill, after a newly found cracks are welded up.
I think I have decided to keep a few of its battle scars, holes will be welded up if not covered by armor, but I dont want to put loads of filler on it just to hide the few dents and ripples it has, it will get plent new dents when it goes froading.

well Mike started before me today and by the time I got to the workshop he had welded all the holes I was going to leave (they would have been covered by armor) it does mean that if I want I only now need to fit rear quarters, the bulkhead is now finnished and the sides 99% done, a bit more filling in the morning then etch and first prime.

Bugger the Rolls
not a Jeep so don’t count.
I did cringe when I realized I was using a 1960s Mercedes 600 as a work bench while working on the dash.
Anyway started assembly today, got the flat tops painted and made the patterns and rough cut the ally for the checker plate armor.
