« on: December 06, 2008, 04:12:01 PM »

hiya all.

Got myself a new jeep its a 2000 model jeep grand cherokee 4.7 v8, sadly the cruise control will not work, it seems there is a vacum pipe of some sort missing. i have taken a pic, see below can anyone tell me what pipe is misisng and where it connects, too, my local jeep dealership can not help as they dont have a same year or model jeep to look at.

the white pipe is the one that is not connected and the one i need help with..

any help appreciated....

no where its blocked off. local jeep garage blocked it off as i went in there to ask about problem and they had no idea and no jeep of same year or model to double check.

Check there is a vacuum line connected to the cruise servo (under the battery IIRC) and to the vacuum reservoir behind the front bumper fascia.

Dunno, if it's plugged it wont do any harm but you need to check the vacuum circuit for the cruise control is intact.

I had the same issue..... my vacuum pipe had perished under the battery, I'd look there first.....
