A most convivial afternoon was spent at the Ponderosa and much was learned apart from how well a country lad can get lost in Brum........
Many Many thanks Bubba.....not just the work and what was learned but the chewing the fat as well :-D

we did the timing chain today on a yj four popper it was not a bad job to do it was quite a shock to see how much the chain had stretched over the miles/years and the tenshioner was well worn and in need of replacement personally i was surprised to find the timing chain was a single thickness chain the engine seemed to be in excellent condition [had the sump off] all in a good job done and the engine wispers on tickover as sweet as can be :-D

just finished the clutch on the noisy tj yet again i have seen a perfectly good clutch replaced for the sake of a shit thrust bearing that had failed why the hell has the aftermarket not made a heavy duty relacement bearint that will last the life of a tj clutch this job must be getting on for 400 quid at most places
at least it now runs smooth and silent
