lights problem
« on: December 11, 2008, 04:56:38 PM »

hi all,new member an ive just bought a 4.0 cherokee 1994, 80,000 miles,on the clock.another toy in the cupboard eh. one of the finest ways to poke another finger up to the yoghurt knitting, hand wringing, judgemental prats, that actually worry about their carbon footprint because they havent worked out that it is no more than a green tax. thats my spleen vented, now, my problem is that when your in cruise control for about 20 mins the headlights go from dipped to side lights repeatedly, and ''in tune'' to a relay. any help would be greatly appreciated  :-D

Could be the light switch. It looks fairly innocuous  from the front, but behind there's a mess of wires. They often go wrong with strange results.

I'd say the headlight switch and/or the connector on the back of it is melting.
