are all side windows the same on XJ pre 97 and post 97???

HI ALL
probaby a daft question but are the windows on the xj the same on all models i have a mk2 99 model but are the earlier ones the same i know the rear window is differant but are the rest the same and could i just swap windows over reason i ask is i have a chance of some tinted windows but are from an earlier jeep would be cheaper than me having them tinted!
any advice i would be grateful
