Steering linkages
« on: April 06, 2009, 02:10:38 PM »

Why do Jeeps run a Y link over a straight tie link and steering link like landrovers etc?

My nearside balljoint is starting to split, and rather than spend the cash on a new one wondering what the options are for an upgrade

the ball joint boots that come with the crown product will fail in less than a week, went through quite a few so stumped up and bout one from jeep, yep its expensive but i havent had one split yet.

the other way is to swap to a rose joint but these will wear out quicker but they are possibly cheaper to buy in the first place.  swings and roundabouts realy
