I got hold of a new all in one sump bolt and washer for my YJ Wrangler petrol 4.0L and lost it some place. Is it possible to re-use the old one ? I want to do an oil change Sunday and can't get another new one untill Monday

Good idea Momos, for the small events, but this is a biggy at a place called Powderham Castle near Exeter. I would be shot for driving in the wrong place.

If it's a copper washer, heat it with a blow lamp till it's cherry red, leave it to cool for 10 seconds and reuse it - it re-anneals (spelling??) them, so they seal as if they are new.

No Mr Pluger, its a combined washer/bolt. so if it has not split or gone realy hard, I will re-use.
