You have a 2.7 diesel. Although this is an OBDII vehicle it can be particularly difficult to get into with a generic scanner due to the mix of Chrysler and Mercedes-Benz components used. The code P1680 indicates one of several possible internal powertrain control module faults. Don't know how you came up with this code but I would reccomend going somewhere with a Chrysler DRBIII scan tool to get it scanned properly.
