Anyone near Shrewsbury who can weld?

Took the truck for its MOT this morning, and the welds that hold the track bar bracket on the axle have broken.

Anyone localishh who could weld it up for some beer tokens??

How thick/heavy does the weld need to be?

I've got a Mig, it's supposed to manage about 6mm thick, but in reality 3mm is about all it can penetrate. However my welding skills are really shit, if you want to borrow it your welcome. It's in Nesscliffe at the mo but I'm going over there later, I can fetch it back if you want.

I'll give it ago if your really stuck, but I wouldn't like to chance it with something like steering, I tend to burn bloody big holes in things.
 Is that place still up the road from you at ditherington, hollyoaks I think their called?

Welders and fabricators, think they used to do truck bodies. Wouldn't have thought it would be a hard job for them. On the left before you get to the heathgates island.

Is that the weld you had done when your lift was fitted???

Nope, the weld which holds the original bracket to the axle!

The new bracket is fine.  I think it must be the extra stress that has been put on the factory welds that has bust it.

Tell you what Chris's track bar mount was fooked, every bit was cracked, think the skyjacker bracket puts far too much stress on the original mounting point. Anyone know a fabricator in Shrewsbury area? The axle needs the whole bracket cutting off and a new one making, its more weld than plate now  :shock:

If anyone has a pattern I can probably have copies made but I aint got a clue what I'm looking for, nothing new there.
