Claytons TJ, is running one.

You need the engine spacer blocks to level it all up though. As the viscous fan can hit the Radiator cowling under some driving conditions. Found this out after a few wheeling sessions.
By pushing the GB/Transfer case up. The angle of the engine changes and closes the clearance gap, between viscous and Radiator cowling.

One of the best Mods you can do imho.

That and removal of the saggy arse fuel tank :icon_winkle:

Ive just orderd the Rough Country one! £259.95 deliverd but you MUST have a 1.25" Minimum body lift and you also need a 1" motor mount lift! Dave at Llama said he has only imported 1 other apart from mine so you would be in a very small and exclusive group!  :icon_winkle: LOL

Just need to find how to lift the tank without buying a new tank guard from the states!

Having made mine and done the weldy weldy bit I can now say that it would be possible to do without welding................

4 mm sheet and square section for bracing cos it will bend without (how do I know???) and lots of 1/2 inch bolts of an 8.8 spec.

All you need is a socket set and a disc cutter to get the sheet to size..................... Cost about £50 :icon_super:

You are more than welcome to come have a looky, Im in Kent, about 2 miles from Brands Hatch.

Il certainly let you know when it arrives, I can take a pic or 3 and will take as many measurements as you need if you are too far away to come visit!  :icon_sad: Dave @ Llama said Rough Country will be shipping his pallets out over the weekend with any luck so I should have it withing the next 10-14 days! A Woo Hoo!!  :icon_super:

Ive got the teraflex steve if you need to compare it with anything, great mod as Wartog says but I reckon if youve got the gear and the skills you could make one with even more clearance..

I memory serves me Correct? If you go totally flat, there isnt any room for the standard cat.

The gearbox linkages also become an issue too.

But nothing that cant be worked out.

On a safety note! The plate support the driveline. So dont just undo the bolts that hold the original on, with out supporting :icon_eek:

In brief but ask me more if ya want.....

Support transfer case with axle stand.
Remove skid plate and draw round and mark the 6 holes and the trans mount holes. Job half done
cut to fit and also go for 6mm that's what I used.(went and had a measure :jpshakehead:)
I ran exhaust down left side (but had room) as no cat needed(age).
1" body lift and 1" engine lift is all I have. Should save you 3" or like going up 6" in tyre size :icon_biggrin:
