Noticed today that I'm getting a funny clicking and squeaking noise from m near side wheel area. Could it be the DS UJ or bearing or both? The sound does simmer down after a while.

What's your recommendations on a replacement one? Worth upgrading or stick with a standard one?

It will be stuffed (should have greased it in the past) get it refurbished professionally.

I've used reco-prop in Luton. Top job but not cheap if you ask for quick turnaround

a needle greaser is needed and put in to the rubber cup to hopfully save the post

Inspected the shaft today and there is play in the lower UJ and some slight movement in the slide post too. Will be taking it off on Sunday, but the four bolts at the TC end look like fun to remove

drop the skid plate, support the transmission and its easy.

Time for a clean up whilst your under there too

Steve you little sinner - dropping the skid can also be a problem if you have a sized bolt.
