Feel slow, engine needs reving to make it move, mpg same as 4litre. If you want a 4 litre, buy one in the first place imho
As the title suggests, looking at info on a 2.5l TJ, what rear axle will it have? Whats the engine/gearbox like. Are they hard to covert to 4.0? Is it worth it?

Is it worth it?They have a D44 rear axle with LSD, 3.73 ratios and will go anywhere a 4.0 will go. They return mid 20's for MPG but don't sound as nice. Let's be honest, both the 2.5 and the 4.0 engines are lazy, thirsty and slow and the Japanese get more horsepower and torque from a food blender...The 4.0 will be more forgiving before you need to re gear, but that's something you should do anyway if you are going for bigger tyres.
Was looking at this one for a possible projecthttp://cars.donedeal.ie/vintagecars-for-sale/jeep-wrangler/6192516I too would prefer the 4.0l as I had one in NZ and apart from the fuel consumption it never missed a beat. What about value wise, is this expensive or cheap?
