After getting rather muddy at the weekend some times when starting I get a real nice squeel from the serp belt and looking at the volt meter it reads 12v, after a short while and some revs the squeeling goes away and the volt meter pops up to 14v.
Now, I'm assuming the alternator is not spinning although I've not cought the little blighter yet. I've given it a good squirt with switch cleaner which seems to have eased it a bit but being realistic is it knackered?
Also since the squeeling started I've been getting some serious static shocks when getting out...could these be related if so anyone know how?
