What ya building

As the title says, there must be people building stuff,so what ya building, how long you been doing it, and what are you doing to it.
Pics would be nice, suspension, engines, anything you like :-)

Standard 4.0 limited with a saggy arse. Owned it nearly 3 weeks, found out it had a bit of a case of tin worm  8-)

Hope this helps the thread  :lol: Ill update with some pics as soon as.

Unfortunately, not building anything Jeep related at the moment, but this is the Austin Seven after I finished sand blasting the chassis on the weekend.



On going project that will take about 18 months to finish.

Looking good lee, my old cj had loads of tin worm, took ages to sort out.
are the 31 s mud terrains.

Loadsa work, i used to have an old austin 8 1946, with the wind out screen i bought it while i was at school with my paper round money.
It was as rotten as a pear, i had a lockup with no electric that i paid about 50pence a week for. happy days  :lol:

my pc up again,,, been rebuilt about 8 times in a year but now i have got all the decent componenets , just waiting to see if johnfuk has any thermal paste,,

this is the last time i tried with a very poor motherboard to get it working at least

I'll have you know thats 747cc of throbbing power from 1936 in the background  :-D , the plan is to restore it to fairly original with only minor mods to make it usable day to day.

an extension to my workshop -its woodworking machine shop, and unfortunately no room for a jeep , not that I would know what to do with it if I could get it in !!

What v8 oil burner would that be?
A mate of mine did a conversion a couple of years back, but wasnt happy with the power it kicked out so he put it back to v8 petrol.

Don't need pedals, might leave a hole in the floor and have it for a runabout.  Night vision goggles could be useful as it 6v and dip works by switching off the one headlight.

note wrong with the a diesel v8 makes the right sound and loads of torque. the v8 that fitted to the us emergancy vehicles is very good. IIRC they run them on a universal chassis and then put the required "container" on the back be it ambulance, fire or service

swapping the axles on the xj and fitting some new tyres/rims

Used to do TR's and MGs, got fed up of breaking down and rust so got a cheap MX, think of it as a Lotus Elan without the hassle LOL
